If you need a place to get your required hours for school, Potential Realized could be a good fit for you! We offer both generalist and clinical internships in a hybrid model to help you apply what you are learning in school, in real time in the real world.
Generalist interns are typically the first people clients encounter when they contact Potential Realized via telephone and email. They do intake calls with clients to ensure mutual fit and they help clients get set up for services and understand what they should expect. Interns are also deeply involved in the client and community engagement processes. They also provide back-end support for our public trainings and events.
Clinical interns provide therapy services to clients while learning the back office functions of running a private practice (typically not taught in school). They conduct assessments, develop case conceptualizations and treatment plans, complete clinical documentation after each session, track clients' progress, journal and process their self of the therapist challenges, and attend sueprvision. They are also involved in the community engagement, networking, and providing support for public trainings and events.
