Welcome! I'm so glad you found me. I am a Black Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I am stoked about healthy relationships! Strong bonds are my business and it's truly my passion and favorite thing to help my clients achieve, beginning with the one with themselves. I help children, adults, couples and families heal so they can show up as their authentic selves.
The Accolades (in case that matters to you)
I'm certified by ICEEFT to provide Emotionally Focused Therapy and EMDRIA as an EMDR Therapist and Consultant. I specialize in attachment trauma, meaning physical and emotional injuries that occurred at the hands of people you trusted. I have over 13 years of experience working with children and families.
After working with families for years providing talk therapy for depression, anxiety, and trauma, I realized something else was needed to repair the deep, relational wounds that most of my clients were experiencing. Once I got trained in and began providing EMDR therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), I saw an immediate shift in clients' ability to heal within and repair their most important relationships, including the one with themselves. I see clients virtually, as well as in-person in Athens and Atlanta (Buckhead) so book with me today!
I live in metro Atlanta with my two teens who are at the heart of all my ambitions. In my spare time, I practice self-care by spending time with my friends and family, traveling, playing kickball (my favorite sport), and binge-watching my favorite television shows.
Hello! I'm Elizabeth, a Licensed Master Social Worker from Kenya.
I believe that healing happens in spaces where you feel truly seen and understood. With my background in both mental health and theology, I create a therapeutic environment that honors your full identity—cultural, spiritual, and personal. Whether you're navigating trauma, life transitions, leaving IOP settings, or identity questions, I'm here to walk alongside you with warmth, cultural sensitivity, and clinical expertise.
My journey in mental health has taken me through residential facilities, faith communities, and community programs, where I've had the privilege of supporting individuals across all life stages.
Background:
Outside of my therapeutic work, I recharge through activities that ground me and bring me joy. When not working, I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, hiking local trails, and mindful walks—activities that ground me and reinforce the importance of balance.
Chances are things have been tough lately for you.
Maybe your kid is struggling with big feelings, hard-to-manage behavior, or pulling away in ways that
don’t feel like them. Maybe your family has been through a tough season, and you're trying to find your
way back to each other. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know you’re not alone—and there is
help.
I work with teens, individuals, and families dealing with all kinds of challenges—depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, and especially those tricky in-between moments where nothing feels “normal.” I also support families through reunification—whether a child is coming back home or relationships are being rebuilt after time apart, I help everyone navigate the emotions, confusion, and hope that come with that
process.
I have a Master's in Social Work and work under the supervision and direction of Natalie Milom, LCSW. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which means I help people work
through tough stuff without overwhelming them—and we keep it real while we do it. My approach is honest, down-to-earth, and always focused on what helps. No fluff. No judgment. Just a space where you can and/or your family feel safe to open up, and where families can learn to hear each other again. This is also a place where an individual can simply process life in a safe manner. If you're tired, worried, or just not sure where to start—that’s okay!
Let’s talk. We’ll take it one step at a time, together.
I can’t wait to meet you! I see clients virtually so book with me today!
